Halo 3 live controls are late?

So i just starting playing halo 3 live with my friend. but when i look around it seems late. i push to look left, and half a second later it looks left. this happens with every direction and on every controller we try. is it just how halo 3 plays? or is there something wrong?

i think its supposed to do that because it does that when i try to play with my friend

It sounds like lag. Which is caused by a slow internet connection. You may want to make sure no one is using massive amounts of bandwidth on your network and also check your firewall settings.

This problem has nothing to do with lag, but interference with your controllers. They may be using the same bandwidth as a nearby cordless phone or a microwave that is messing with the wireless controller.
Try unplugging these things and see if it helps. If you use a wired controller and this still continues to happen, you might need to get your xbox serviced.
