Halo 3 Mission IV Achievement?

It won't let me get the achievement for finishing mission 4 of Halo 3. Do you have to start at the beginning? Because I start at the rally point alpha. Also, how do you get the skull on this level? I can see it up there, but by the time I get up, it's gone. Please help, I can't get the game finished achievement without it.

yes. you have to start at the very beginning. But to get the skull, im not sure which one you are talking about. alright. now for this achievement, i would recomend you have at least 2 players on the campain to do. So what you have to do is NOT destroy the Tanks, but DO destroy the Ghosts. then when you destroy all of the ghosts, you drive your warthog to the pillar where you get the skull. have one of your teamates jump ontop of the warthog, then you jump on top of him. then you just jump up and the skull should be there. you have to be very careful when trying to get this skull though because if you even destroy One tank, no skull for you. So remeber if you destroy the ghosts, then you will get a new skull as your reward.

also remeber you cannot be on easy mode. normal or higher.

What mode are you playing on?? And I guess try starting it from the beginning. And skull wise, I know there have been times I've grabbed a skull and gotten no credit for it. So I guess one can say the game can kind of glitch on certain parts.

In the area with the first anti-air Wraith that must be destroyed. This one’s tricky. You’ll need a Warthog to do this. For some reason, this skull will disappear if you destroy the Plasma Mortar Wraith that is dropped onto the walkway by a Phantom. For your safety, destroy the anti-air Wraith in the field and all of the Ghosts before you attempt this. Look for a circular building in the field and drive right up against it. Get out of the Warthog and jump onto its hood. You’ll have to 'crouch jump' to get on top of the building. To crouch jump, first press A to jump up into the air, and when you are mid-jump click the Left Thumbstick. If done correctly, you’ll just make it onto the circular building. The skull is up there.
