Halo 3 ODST are rumors true?

Ok so im gonna pre order ODST but i dont get it ppl have been sayin its just gonna be new campagin and no online like matchmaking except for firefight and once u do all the Vidmaster achivementsu get recon on HALO 3 is this true?? If it is im really gonna be disappointed

Its pretty much an add on too halo3, like an expansion to a pc game I believe. I *think you can go online* I know for sure it has firefight and new campaign new weapons new armor, new units, new stuff and a new look. I think it would be worth the buy. Although i'm sorry to say there isnt a ton of info on it right now. Hope that helped.
