Halo 3 online help?

For some reason, Halo 3 gives me alot of trouble playing online. Ive got the wired connection through a router to a cable high speed internet service and everything. I get disconnected from every match I play though. I dont have this problem with any other games either. I can play like Call of Duty 4 online with 16 people with no lag. Can anyone help me?

halo is a lot more congested then other games. Halo's online is just really laggy. Not much you can do, its the game itself.
