Halo 3 online?

Hey all, I have a question about the online aspect of Halo 3. I got it when it first came out, and had it for about a month or so. Then, however, my 360 died and I voided my warranty. (bad luck, eh?) Well anyway, here's my question - are online matches still as active as they were back around launch, or is it just twenty or so people strip-mining every achievement? I plan on getting a new 360 soon and, well, am looking forward to playing Halo 3 again. Thanks!

It is definitely still as thriving as it was in September. There's never any problems finding opponents and teammates for a match. You'll be fine. Also, if you have the means, I'd suggest biting the bullet and buying an Elite. I did because I had the extra money, and it's been working perfectly for nearly a year. They don't break like the Cores and Premiums do. Either way, best of luck.
