Halo 3 recon armor on xbox live?

I was playing last night online and a guy and his friend said that if i beat them they would give me the armor,well i beat them and they said in order to get it id have to give them my email address and password.It sounded like a scam so i said i didnt want it,i jus wanted to keep playing...Does that sound like a scam or was i being dumb???

you were being dumb. in order for bungie members to access your character, they need to get into your account. no worries, recon comes out with halo:eek:dst

they probaly couldve been telling the truth because i just recently discovered a way to get recon for free. its a short process but you have to download it. il give you more info if your interested. my gamertag is wolvefang45.

No you did the smart thing. Bungie does not need your info to give you recon. They say it on their site. Also unless it is a specific occasion then you cannot get it just because you beat them. The other people are idiots and what you ran into was a stupid scam that people try to use.
