Halo 3 Skill Rank 36?

Ok, litteraly for the past TWO weeks i have been playing swat at level 35-36. It seems as if there is no way to get past level 36. Just now I won 3 games in a row. i did good in each of them, got top medals and for 1 i was mvp. It didnt rank me up to 37 after all three....??????
And today I won a game and it ranked me down... explain that??
this is making me so upset. its like bungie put a limit on me or something. like WTF.
seriously, i can not get past level 36!!!
HELP.
And i only have 105 EXP in swat.

You probably are going through an EX) problem. If u have played LOTS of games (over 800) of any playlist, ranked or social, your EXP gets big and it starts getting harder to rank up. New accounts are easier to rank up because of the low EXP and it is less of a challenge. So with you (and me) it is harder to get high ranks, even when you do amazing in a game. Yet it is soo easy to rank down. I was MVP for my team (SWAT) with 35 kills and we lost and I went down 2! 2 frekin points!!! But yeah, just don't stop and keep up the work so you can get lvl 50!!!!

It really depends on the amount of games that you have played or if you have a total of over 800 exp. The reason why your rank went down was because you either left or got kicked from a game, and it took a little bit to register it. Honestly it isn't that hard to get to a 50, but good luck getting there. I would suggest starting a new account.

well you obviously can, as i have seen people with 40+ skill. Just keep at it making sure you win and get a +kd ratio and maybe even MVP.
