Halo 3 skulls?

when i pick up the skulls in halo can i just press start then save and quit and still get the achievment withot completing the level

well, if you have xbox live you should have gotten the update thats pops up a message on your screen when you get the skull achievement, once you see this you can save and quit out of the level

if you don't have xbox live and never got that update, then you can hit the center button on the controller which brings up your guide menu, you can check your halo 3 achievement list to see if you received the achievement

if you are online you should have got the last spring update automatically.....It allows for instant achievements....when I pick up a skull it pops right up and says acheivement unlocked...... Idont have to finish the round or anything.......
