Halo 3 spoiler!!! Don't look unless you beat campaign.?

I just beat Halo 3 on normal and was rather dissapointed on how it told you that Master Chief was dead. I was wondering if anyone had beat it on heroic or legendary if there was more to the final cut scene or maybe an alternate ending where they explain a little more than just what they gave me on normal.

I beat the game on normal. Master Chief dosent die. You have to watch past the credits to see more. And if you beat the last lvl Halo on legendary difficulty then you will get to see the part where it shows them floating towards a planet, that many have said to be Onyx.
