Halo 3: where or how can i get the katana in matchmaking?

i know it doesn't do anything but i see other people and they got a katana (samurai sword) on their backs in matchmaking. where or how do i get one.

unlock all achievements in the game.
1000/1000 gamerscore

Get 1000 gamerscore. You should have it by then.

In halo 3 you unlock the katana by completing all of the achievements on halo 3. You get 1000 points from unlocking all the achievements and once you get that you will recieve the katana which will appear on your back in online play.

There's a KATANA SWORD? where? i want one. i want one i want one. is it like a skull? it's funny to use skulls i hit the brutes with skull their like "ouch" "ah the demon" "everybody grenade" "you killed my brother" "he's in hiding" "maybe if the demon is mad he'll give us a good fight"

the grunts are like "go away" , "please dont kill me" "i got you demon"
