if the production company decided that they would restart the movie if they got enough money and decided to hold a sort of fundraiser to get donations from halo fans...

There is absolutely NO reason that the public should have to pay for the production of a movie, unless we then get that movie for free, and I highly doubt there's any movie production company out there that will give away movie tickets or DVDs.
