Halo wars only control others?

On halo wars is it like u tell the wariors where to go and what to do or is it like cod waw halo 3 and gow2 where u actually control 1 person?

It's like command and conquer. You are basically the 'general' or just a person that can controll everything that happens on the battlefield. It's a strategy game. You have a 3rd person, eagle view over a selected area which you can move. You control multiple units that can range from tank-like things to soldiers. You also can create buildings to aid you in battle.

it's an RTS(real time strategy) where you control massive armies instead of an individual person it's placed 20 years before halo combat evolved thoughso it's good if you want some back story
