Halo wars questions??please help experienced players!?

Ok, so in halo wars i have 2 main questions first one is about optimizing your base score and your bonus score. What helps you get a higher base score, what helps you get a lower base score,what helps you get more bonus, less bonus???What are some tips to maximize your score for example my friend said self destruct if you know you will lose it before it is about to die that way your won't lose bonus score and the enemy will gain no points.Also,what are the ways to properly use each covenenant leader, unsc?Is the percent sign at the end of the game (total score) the one that increases your online rank?Can you become like a major from playing skirmishes?(no right?)My second main question is how do you boost rank in halo wars i know it IS highly possible he said something about 1v1 deathmatch and getting a party?

if you are talking about earning resources from your base in halo wars then you can do that by building more supply pads

The tips that I recommend for maximize your score kill the enemy. Use squad base soldiers and coordinate their attacks. The more kills you have the better score you will get. The only way to boost your rank is to win wars. Use soldiers and tanks. Use those warhogs for support for your soldiers. Use the tanks to coordinate attacks that are too strong for your troops.
