Has anybody seen it in Halo 3?

I was just wondering, but has anybody ever heard of the halo 3 easter egg. I heard that it has something to do with the game that allows you to see strange scenes. If you have heard of it could you tell me about it.

The only easter egg I know of is this:

The faces are those of the lead designers at Bungie (apparently) and can be found somewhere midway through the first level. Never found it myself however, and don't really see the point...
