How do I change my armour on Halo 3 Online?

I've just started playing online and noticed that other players have various types of armour, how do you get this? is it through experience etc or is there options in the game? Thanks

Different armor is gained by accomplishing certain tasks and feats in the game.

For example, finding all the skulls will reward you with a new body and helm.

You can interchange between the armor somewhere in the settings menu I believe.
