how do i get halo 1 working on online?

there is a pop up in halo that says i need to be at administrator lvl or something

Do you mean halo pc? If so maybe you have to be logged in as an administrator on your computer? Which means an account that has full privileges on the computer, also check and see that ur firewall isn't blocking it.
