how do i play my heroic map pack on halo 3?

on xbox live. i dont know how to so im asking
i downloaded them but i cant figure out how to play them on xbox live people

Go to play any matchmaking playlist, forge or custom game. The Heroic pack is the oldest and is in every playlist online. Just check the descriptions, they will say "HEC and LEG map pack required" or something to that effect. Just keep playing and you'll get one eventually.
