How do i put on armour in Halo 3?

Once i unlock some of the armour how do i put it on me???
When do i press start?

Press start at any time as long as you're on the Halo 3 main menu or anywhere else on the menu. It will come up with another menu. Press the toggle stick right and it will go to settings. Go to appearance, and armour. Press A when you're on the one you want to change (e.g. Left shoulder) and move the toggle stick left or right to change armour. You can change the colour of your armour and also your main symbol on appearance.
