How do i record a video of halo 3 theatre, because there is a button for it but it

dosn't work... help!? i am trying to record a video on halo and it doesn't let me press the button, i can take snapshots and everything else just cant record videos, the button for it on the bar that comes up is faded and wont press... plz help!
