How do you Downgrade Halo Combat Evolved for PC from 1.07 to 1.04?

I want to play against the players I know, and talk to often, but they only play on the 1.04 update. I run 1.07. I'd rather have less servers, and more people I know, then have 50+ servers, and only have to face noobs....
