how do you get halo 3 meta game acheivments?

me and my friend tried to get the first meta game acheivments and we couldnt do it. we got about 10000 and not 15000. we are both realt good players but we cant get it to 15000. how do you get it up? any tips?

If you play on co-op, you both have to reach 15,000. A higher difficulty gives multiplier at the end of the level. Finish the level faster give more points. Headshots over body shots. Put skulls on, but not the silver ones (the group with the birthday skull) they dont give anything. The more skulls the better.
