How to beat my cousin in Halo 3? Halo 3 pros answer plz?

Me and my cousin play Halo 3 everytime I come to his house. So we play last resort on forge, NOT custom games, FORge. And he's always being a noob using the shotgun and other noob weps. SO how do i become better then him? And he also screen peeks too.
