how to get the katana sword in halo 3?

any input in this would be helpful...i read bungie changed it from every achievement must be unlocked to certain achievements must be unlocked
how do you check your gamer points....
I meant how do you check gamerscore

yeah you need to get a 1000 gamer points in halo 3

You just need 1000 gamerscore in Halo 3, doesn't matter what achievements.

get 1000 halo 3 gamerscore acheivement points, it has to be the original 1000, not the newer ones that have been added post-release, there are like 1400 now
