i cant run halo 1 on my pc?

i cant run halo on my pc when i start it up is says that a problem occured initiallizing directx3d. hardware acceleration may be disabled please run DXDIAG

it installed fine and i cant figure out why it wont work please help i did run the diagnostic

err... yes and what did it say?

dxdiag is a tool for diagnosing problems with directx. if you ran it, it should have told you if there was a problem. so, what was the result? if you post the information from the scan someone might be able to help you get halo1 running!
