I got Halo 1 For the PC, How do I make machinama's with it?

I bought it i see other macinama's and I want to make ones but how do I record?

the Red Vs. Blue Machinima used a capture card recorder. Most Halo Machinima's if not all, use Capture Cards. meaning the video is from the console not the computer.
