I have 2 Halo 3 questions.?

1. Why does the screen fade to white so you almost can't see anything, then fade back to the regular screen. Almost like it got REALLY bright.
2. What does a re-generator do?

when the screen goes really bright that is a flash gernade
the re-generator is that green ball of light and it regenerates ur shields(if their low) when ur in the green light
