i need help getting halo 3 started on xboxlive!!! i wanna face other people but

dont know how? how can i join a game of halo3 and shoot other people?

If you already got Xbox live and a valid Gold account start up Halo 3. Once it opens up to the choices, pick matchmaking as the lobby to join. Than choose your settings and etc and than "start."
