in halo combat evolved for pc i want to trie some cheats in 1 player mode but cant?

it tells me to go to properties on halo go to target and add -console -devmode I trie it but it tells me the folder does not exist could I get some help

you can mod but first you need the halo pc cd (with the product key) and download it. then go to google and look up halo pc mod download.
when you download it (it takes like 30min to an hour depending on internet speed) and it asks for the CD and then enter the product key.
if these directions werent very clear, then go to youtube and look up videos halo combat evolved mod guide. have fun!!
