Is Bungie going to release an extension to halo 3?

I've heard some rumors about new achievements and maps

I doubt there will be anymore achievements (games are only allowed to have a max of 1250 total gamerscore), but I'm pretty sure I've heard they were going to add more maps, just a few, but I know they are going to.
