Is halo wars a good game?

Ive seen the demo, and it is nothing like Halo 3, do you still walk around and drive and shoot the monsters, because in the demos it shows you shooting from up top.

wow u r so uninformed halo wars is an rts a strategy game where you build forces and manage resources it isnt a fps like the other halos, in fact this was developed by ensemble not bungie.

I own Halo Wars and it is a great game. I know lots of people are gonna say that it sucks cuz its no an FPS but that is not the case. If you think about it, Halo Wars isn't a sequal to any Halos, it is a prequal to show the beginnings to the Covenant-Human wars. Its way more fun than reading the books (I read most of them, I know). People only hate Halo Wars cuz its got Halo in the name and it is a totally different game. I think it is awesome cuz they used some creatures that never made it to the Halo series but were planned to (Engineers). And there is already another Halo FPS going to be released this year (Halo ODST), what do these people want! Lol. So yeah. Halo Wars is an awesome game.

Halo wars is what would be if halo and CC had a baby. I hear that the RTS elements aren't all that sharp but very passable and if your a big halo fan its a must get

first off you should know from the demo and secondly no it is a Stratagy game not a first person shooter so its not the shoot'em up type game your used to with the halo franchise but i would buy it

It's a good game, but it suffers from the same things that any console-bound RTS suffers from, the bogged-down, inefficient selection and command process. I mean... you just really need a mouse for a good RTS it seems.
