Is Halo Wars any good?

I love FPS games and RTS not too much but still like em'
I am a huge Halo fan. Before halo 3 came out i was in class talking to this massive fan of video games in general and he said something about Halo wars so immediately i figured that Holy S#@T gonna get to see another Spartan in the campaign. I guess long story short I thought it would be an FPS set prior to Halo: Combat Evolved basically what Halo: Reach is going to be (I think) boy was i wrong. Basically what i am asking is if i should buy it and how much. (BTW cant wait for OSDT to come out which is not a matter of if i will buy it but I will Buy it
Also... IS the online playing worth it like Halo 2 or 3?

I found it to be a pretty good game. The cut-scenes were done really well and the story wasn't that bad. The only issue that I have with it is when playing online you must watch out for rush tactics.

It is an RTS (real time strategy) game. It's story and gameplay is based very similary to the old gamecube RTS game, Sarge. I played it and sold it. Beat the game, got the acheivements but it still destroys no matter how many times you play it. Buying another copy today.

if you like stragedy games then yes you would love halo wars but it depends on your perspective. And pre-order ODST it is going to be awesome!
