...game without the disc,bring it back? i own halo 2, it worked without the disc, if i borrow my friend's halo 1 game, install it, then bring it back, so i can play halo 1 without the disc and i don't own it. is that illegal.

Absolutely, it's abusing the system. Why don't you just go out and buy Halo 1. Don't be lazy and borrow it, I'd watch who you tell, they might report you. You can get in A LOT of trouble!
