Is it true that playing halo 3 you can get unlimites microsoft points?

My friend that is very good at halo, said that he got sponsored by machini(or something like that) and got the bungie pro free, and unlimited microsoft points for 2 weeks.
If thats true can someone tell in which other games I can get unlimites points for playing very good?

And there aren't any Halo 3 sponsors, rofl, the only place you can earn money off Halo 3 is bets with people/friends or tournaments.
