is the halo movie still coming out?

whats going on with the halo movie? i know fox and someone else dropped out but what happened after that? is peter jackson still working on it? im a huge fan and cant find any recent info on it anyone know anything?

They are still planning on making it, but they decided to work on other projects first as the Halo movie was taking too long. I was really looking forward to it, and I was very dissapointed to hear that it wasnt coming out this year. I do know that someone else picked up the movie. Im not sure Fox totally dropped it though. It will be back. I don't think that Halo 4 will sell nearly as well if they don't, and yes, there are rummors of a Halo 4.

all I know is it has been cut and not in production and wont be for some time. It may still happen though
