Is there a cutoff date for the Halo 1 flair in Reach?

So basically, if I were to walk out to a local store and buy a new copy of Halo PC right now, could I use the CD key for the Halo PC code? I've heard there was a May 2010 cutoff date where any copies bought after that date would be invalid. Is this true?

It's probably not true. Although Halo may be an old game, they're not gonna make all CD-Keys for the game void. So don't bet on it. I own Halo for PC and nothing has happened.
