Is there a Halo movie?

there is no halo movie although there was interest in making one in 2005 and a script was penned and but the movie was never made and is in development hell.

There is a animated series, and if im not mistaken an animated movie as well. I think the scenes that look like that are part of a movie in that video are from various trailers for halo

there was going to be, but there isnt anymore. the budget went to district 9. the clips you've seen are from several trailers spanning from halo 3, halo odst and halo fall of reach. the director of district 9 made a short film of a halo story and realised it, but they figured it would be to expensive.

There was a film in pre-production back in 2006, but director Neil Blomkemp (District 9), producer Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings Trilogy), and Distributer 20th Century Fox backed out of the project. The film seems dead at this point.

And now for the official answer.

Plans were in motion for a movie to be made and two design teams were trying to work together to make it.

However after failure to get along, the movie was officially scrapped in Nov 2007.

While there is still interest by Microsoft to make it, there is no official movie still in the works.
