Is there going to be a Halo movie?

Hopefully some goodass director is going to come up with a way on how to do a Halo movie without messing it up (like someone did with Dragon Ball). I recently saw a new Halo ODST live action trailer, and it looks awsome. Knowing that people did that trailer makes me sure that if they can do that, then they can come up with a great movie.

Right now, there is a proliferation of movies based on video games. So, taking that into account, it's possible there is a movie in preproduction. However, you might want to check the imdb.com for more information because they do that type of stuff for a living.

After they crash-land on an artificial ring-world called "Halo", a navy captain, his surviving marines, and a chemically-and-surgically-enhanced super soldier named John-117 "Master Chief" must find out what the Covenant, the genocidal alien race they are at war with, are looking for on the ring. However, Halo holds more secrets than either side imagined.

Genre: Action / Adventure / Mystery / Sci-Fi / Thriller

The development of the film has been up and down. It is now back on track as Steven Spielberg has now become interested in it.
