Is there going to be a Halo (the video game) movie?

I've seen Halo ODSTs' live action trailer-"We are ODST" ,as well as -"Landfall" and the Halo Reach Live action trailer as well. But I'm still confused on the progression, if any, of the Halo Movie.I read about a possible premier on 2012 and see fan made 'trailers' but im still not 100% sure. Please give me an honest responce and not just another " I think" answer or rummer. -Thank you

Yes, in fact there will be a Halo movie, but some rumors have arose that some directors dont want to star Master Chief as the main protaginst since 80% of the time he's silent and his face has never been revealed. This dillema has caused the project to be jumped around to many studios for the past couple years. On IMDB it's already scheduled for a 2012 release. Thats the most info I have.

theres been rumours flying around about a potential halo movie since before the release of halo 3, and i think at one point they had a producer, but that panned out. but historically, the only games that have been made into movies have been sony games (ie ps3), there are made by sony entertainment america, and sony isnt going to make a movie for its leading competitor, hell, its only competitor, the wii is a bad joke
