Modern Warfare 2 or Halo 3?

My sister rang me before asking which of the two I'd rather as part of my Christmas present for my 360. I've heard some really good things about Modern Warfare and I haven't heard a lot about Halo 3, so I chose Modern Warfare thinking I'd rather choose a game based on others opinions rather than a game I've (somehow) heard little about.

Obviously I would have been happy with either of the games, but in your opinion, was it a good choice?

Halo 3s fun and shit but it gets REALLY boring after the 2nd time you beat it.
the only good thing the Multiplayer and another thing is that its full of glitches.

Modern Warfare is addicting plain and simple.

Both would be good for you. I like both and I am very good in both...I will say this from my 4000+ games on xbox live in Halo 3 and played countless number of games of CoD 4, World at War, and MW2; Halo 3 takes more skill to play online than the Call of Duties. Sure you could use the Assault Rifle then melee to get kills in H3, but in CoD's you just point and shoot and you get the kill. There is nothing more satisfying than 4 shotting some one with a BR(battle rifle) or out BR-ing some one in H3 if you have perfected the skill of BR-ing effectively. I will say that MW2 has the Famas and M16 are very skillful weapons in MW2. Both are fun online and have plenty of people playing online.
