My XBOX 360 wont let me play Halo 1 or Halo 2 on it?

when i put it in it recognizes the disc and when i click to play it it goes as if it were going to load and then says "cannot play game please download game again" or something like that. I am pretty sure i got all the updates but not sure if i got all....please help

why not just forget about those halo games halo 3 odst is coming out next month

put the disk in and conect to xbox live then play the disk it will tell you to update... do as it says.

Halo 1 is not backwards compatible. Microsoft has it on the marketplace to make you pay to play it on 360. AS for Halo 2, i dont know, because halo 2 is backwards compatible.

have you got the latest update if you have live it should download automatically or you can download it and burn it onto a disk to update. also halo 1 is not backwards compatible
