need help for halo 3:7on7 vidmaster achievement!!!?

is it possible if i can de-rank myself on getting this achievement?
cuz ryt now i have my team doubles rank at exp:8
so can i try to lose and get it at 7 and enter the playlist to get it?
you will be really helpful if you comment and tell me thanks!

If you get booted or leave the game you might but not sure if it deducts from total xp or that team doubles xp

I'm pretty sure if you play the 7 on 7 playlist then you get it automatically.
