Need help getting back to lost game in Halo 3 please?

I thurned on my XBox 360 and it said unable to load saved game and made me start from the very beginnig of the story. I see that I am passed the VI achievement. Is there a way to get back to the level I was on?

I guess there is no other way...

To get back to the level you lost, why don't you go through the level on easy first. When you finished the game, replay the game again on normal.

If you finished normal, go to a higher difficulty until legendary.

The problem you mention above may be result of overheating (This happens to me once while I was playing 6 hours straight).

Have you tryed to contact Bungie and see if they know anything about it?
