need help on halo 3 ? please help?

when i go to play i tgoes loading it wil get to twnty percent and then go bac to 1 and it will repeat thbat over and over again

i think its broken, it happened to one of my friends and they had to get a new one...idk if gamestop will take it, or if its new return it? maybe you can send it in check bungie website. But my best guess is that its rly scratched/broken
