On halo wars, how do you become the flood on matchmaking?

I have seen people do it before and I would really like to know how to do it.

It is impossible to play as the flood in matchmaking,the things you saw in matchmaking are NP C's(Non players combatants).Essentially they are just there to fill the extra base slots.
