Saving settings on Halo 3 Forge?

I'm trying to create a custom map in the Halo 3 Forge. On this map I want certain settings (different damage resistance, starting weapon, etc). I set these settings, load up the forge map, and then try to save it. Well, it saves the map itself, but when I exit the forge it won't save my settings. The starting weapon, damage resistance, etc is all set back to zero.

How do I fix this?

Halo 3's Forge is only used to make maps. If you want to save custom settings(e.g: 200% damage or 75% speed) then you need to go to Custom Games. There if you press X you can make your own settings and save them by choosing your settings then pressing X which will then ask you to give the settings a name. Make one then when you go into Custom Games the next time you can choose the map (any you made from the Forge) and the custom settings (any you made and saved).

Note: Not every setting is the same as the Forge settings.
