No, the costs to do so, including the re-distribution and marketing of such efforts will leads to a cost that they are unlikely to make back. If they were to recoup the costs i.e. by selling the upgraded versions then the reception to the re-release is unlikely to receive significantly high praise unless they add some extra levels / missions etc. This can results in the company looking as though it half-heartedly bothered to develop a new game and damage its reputation. It's better for the company to allocate their available funds towards new product / software development, taking into account the losses that they may then incurr whilst trying out a few alternative scenarios before, perhaps, striking gold again.
