there is a "project" for it, but it's in development hell right now. it might get made

The script has been written, but there are several budgeting issues with the movie, its being pushed to 2012.

Don't know for sure.

But 6 years ago they were working on one but it got canceled do to the effects being to expensive. I hope they do make the movie though.

No. oh a famous sci-fi game. of course was tried to be made. but it was waaay 2 expensive. i heard the first 14 min of the movie they started making for halo costed it over 10 million! why? well, you know, those guns, plasma rifles, grunts, jackals and elites, scorpions, banshee. the vehicles and guns did not exist. thus it costed hundreds of thousands just to make it!
