What is the best way to learn how to play Halo 3(first time Halo player)?

Ive never played Halo before, but I bought into the Halo hype and bought Halo 3, I mostly play sports games, not a lot of shooting games.

for all the Halo freaks, I need your help. What is the best way to start out learning about Halo and how it works, should I start off on an easy campaign, then try online? Im pretty bad right now, like I said Ive never played before

Any tips that will help me or anything, I litterly know nothing, I got the game and I played once, and I didn't know what the heck was going on lol

Play the campaign on easy first. Set your controls to your liking. Especially the look speed. I usually have mine set on 3.
If you have live, play co-op with someone.

Play on campaign for a bit, on easy. Once you beat it on it, keep progressing and making the difficulty harder. Also, fool around in skirmishes with a friend or family member. With another controller. Try out different weapons, and vehicles to get your best feel. Also, buy the other 2 halo games. Would be a good way to figure out the whole story line, and make you really want to get into it. And you can understand everything that happens in the 3rd game. It's better than not knowing what youre fighting for.
