What is the best XBOX 360 to buy for my son to play Halo 3 & what else (like where

and memory)should I know? My kid is obsessing over getting an XBox to play Halo 3. I've looked online and there are different types with different memory amounts. It looks like the arcade one is no longer manufactured. I want to get info on specifics to be aware of.

look i work in electronics. you should go with the premium which is the one that cost 349.99 it comes with a 20gb hard drive which is more than you need. the only down side with the xbox 360 is that they been knoed to over heat very easily. but the newer one's being made now havent really had a problem at all. i have one an have had no problems with it at all.

There's Premium and Core. Core systems there isn't a internal harddrive so you'd have to store your memory on a card. Also, the Core system can't play original xbox games. I've gotten a premium and I'm pretty satisfied with the memory it came with (12gb).

their is an xbox 360 and xbox 360 elite. The xbox 360 elite has a few more features than the normal one. it is also black while the normal xbox 360 is white. It may cost a little more money though.

For memory i would say somewhere between 20GB and 35GB

And for a place to go to i would recomend a near by toys-r-us,gamestop or EB Games.

Ok, ya dont get the arcade. Get the reg. white 360, unless you are willing to get the elite, go with the regular, 360. I have it and its fine. heres a link to xbox.com with info on em.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/compare101.htm?WT.svl=nav (FRONT PAGE FOR CONSOLES)

Heres the on i have, its good.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360prosystem/

And heres the elite...http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360prosystem/

And the arcade one, but i dont recomend it cuz you cant get live..http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360arcadesystem/

Now the elite costs 449.99$ and the difference is that it has a huge 120gb hard drive, and its black, it comes with a xbox silver live, (non online play), a black controller, and heaset And amonth subscription to xbox gold live, which allows online play. Its a great deal, but i have the regular one, and a huge selection of games, and i still have 10gb left of my 20gb 360.

The reg. 360 comes with 20gb memory, sould come with white headset, and a white wireless controller. This one costs 349.99$ and is a good deal, and not as expensive as the elite.

The arcade however is 279.99$ and is not that great to me. It comes with a memory unit and im not sure with the hard drive, and IT DOES NOT allow live. \

So im my opinion, go with the white, 20gb reg. 360, and if your willing to spend extra, get the elite. Also look around because certain stores may have bundles that come with games, and bonus materials,. Good Luck

Just get the one that is $349.99 you wont need to worry about memory because it has a hard drive that will hold enough info for a long time. It also has a wireless controller as well as a headset which he will want if he plans on playing online. This also has the ethernet cable that way you dont have to buy one for xbox live. I dont know if you have a high def tv but it even comes along with one of those cables to get the full quality of visual game play. That's the one I bought and it seems to do just fine. some of the other things i might buy are a fan because they tend to over heat and i would also buy a charge pack for the wireless controller so that you dont have to keep buying batteries.
