What is the Halo Reach beta Season 1?

While playing the halo reach beta, i noticed that it keeps saying Halo reach beta season 1 has a certain number of days. I know the beta is turned off on the 19, but what does it mean by Season 1?

im guessing is just the first season of programming in making the halo reach game.
